Solved: Submission Problem

There was a problem submitting content for the last 15 hours. It was just solved and everything should be back to normal. No data was lost.

It was one of these little things that you do in the back office (with intent to improve the service), which cause a chain reaction which in the end, affects all kind of functionalities that you didn’t think it would. In this case, submitting content. As soon as we discovered it, we worked intensely to resolve the issue and I am happy to say now that it was resolved.

Again, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your patience.

  1. Cheers peeps! I was starting to get worried yesterday when I couldn’t publish a few articles and I thought it was just me!
    Thanks a lot!

  2. @thestickman – It doesn’t appear to be the same problem. Thank you for alerting us of this. We will look into it shortly.

  3. GIt is great that I can submit article, but it seems that I am unable to get into my own article on line, nor can I read anyone elses. It seems to cause my computer to lock up!!??

  4. I have been having the same problem as Elizabeth. I can’t read anyone’s article online; the page freezes. Is someone looking into this? I would hate to think people are missing out on views because no one is able to view their work.

  5. @ashan1614 – Could you please be more specific about what is happening such as: What do you mean that the page “freezes?” Do you see the article at all? Does an error message pop up? I just sent you an email regarding this matter. It would be great if you could respond with these answers in an email back to me. Thanks!

  6. I can see whatever part of the article can be seen on the page without scrolling down. I am unable to scroll to the bottom of the article to read the entire content or to leave a comment. I’ve gotten the “500 Internal Server Error” a few times, but mostly I just get the general “internet explorer is not responding”.

    1. I am so sorry. Big hugs to you and Chip and the whole family. I can so reltae to the unfairness of it all; as I see that generation of my own loved ones passing, it does seem like the long-marrieds should be together at the end. Hasn’t happened yet in my family, and it breaks my heart every time.

  7. I got that ‘internal error’ message as well as not being able to leave comments. I’ve also had a very frustrating problem in trying to add pictures. They all go to the very top of the article no matter where my cursor is. I then have to cut and paste each one until they’re in the right spot.

  8. @Anne Lyken-Garner – I just emailed you with some questions that might help us solve these issues. If you could please respond via email, that would be great. Thanks!

  9. i dunno when it happened, but i recently found out that half of my article was cut off, i am 100% sure that, that wasnt the way it was yesterday.

  10. @qazzaz222 – Are you still having this problem? If so, please send us the link to the article that is cut off. Thanks!

  11. I’ve had articles pending for around twelve hours now – is this usual? (I’m new here.)
Also, if I fix an article before it’s published the fix doesn’t show so I have to re-edit it once published. Is this normal?
    Thanks.

  12. @CaSundara – It usually takes up to 2 hours for content to publish but sometimes it can take up to 24 hours.

I checked your account and saw that you have no items left in pending so I’m assuming your content went through.

If your fixes did not translate, please go ahead and make them now. To submit a fix please do the following:

    1. Sign in to Triond and click on the “Content” tab.

    2. In the list of published content, find the article you wish to fix and click on the icon that looks like a pencil. You’ll find this icon toward the right hand side of the row under the column titled “Fix”.

    3. Edit your article. Take care not to delete anything by mistake, as your work can not be restored to previous versions once the new fixed version is published.

    4. Tell us the reason why you are submitting a fix.

    5. Click on Submit.

Your article will be sent to the Triond Editorial Team for processing and you will receive a message once the article has been fixed.

  13. >.< im still having the problem, this is the third or forth time now, i’ll send an report…im tired of keep having to remember what i wrote and submitting a fix…

  14. @qazzaq222 – Please send us the title of the article you are having a problem with so we can take a look and resolve it. Thanks!

  15. I have had some articles in pending now for over 24 hours. Is this normal? My pictures went up within 5 minutes which I was happy about but my articles have taken forever and it is making me sad 😦

How old do you have to be to have a Paypal account?

    1. That is an impressive comemnt. You would do very well watching the Australian version of the film. I proved to myself how much I like this movie. After watching all 3 movies for the show in succession (and the non-International version of part 1), I recorded the show, edited it, uploaded it, went over to the couch to sit down and Crocodile Dundee was on TV. I watched it.

  16. @Jane Benitez – I found no problems with your account. Could you please be more specific regarding the details of your problem? Are your articles getting declined? Please respond via email: support [at] triond [dot] com

  17. @AppleDuck – While content usually gets published in about 2 hours, sometimes it can take up to 24 hours or longer if it is a holiday or weekend. Our editors will take a look at your content and you should receive an email notification shortly.

Regarding PayPal: To be eligible for their services, I believe you must be at least 18 years old, but please check their website’s user agreement that relates to your country of residence: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/UserAgreement/ua/USUA-outside

    1. Nittaya | (08:43) You actually make it seem so easy toetehgr with your presentation but I to find this matter to be actually something which I think I might by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely vast for me. I’m taking a look ahead in your next put up, I will try to get the grasp of it!

  18. Hello

Since recently *forcing* us to choose images for article submissions, have been unable to submit an article very often. The server just locks up and nothing happens.
Why are we being forced to choose an image? People with visual difficulties (ie me) can’t see the thumbnails very well. When asked to choose an image, nothing happens. No image and the article doesn’t go through. It worked fine before being made to choose an image. Do we get a choice here?
    Thanks!

  19. @Arri – In order for Triond’s publisher to work faster posting everyone’s articles, we have recently changed choosing a thumbnail image from being optional to being mandatory.

Thumbnail images rely solely on the tags that you enter for your content. In order for this feature to work properly, make sure you enter tag words that relate to your content subject. To pull up the most relevant thumbnails for your content, make sure that the first 3 tags you enter are most relevant to your content’s topic.

Once your article is published, you’ll see your selected thumbnail appear next to the title and description of your article where it’s listed on the site of publication.

  20. @thestickman – Your article has been fixed. There should be no image and text overlapping now. The reason for this problem is that the images were surrounded by h3 tags. They were removed and all is back to normal.
    Thank you for your patience!

  21. Hello!
I have submitted a poem just last august 2009. The title of my poem is “Petite Flying Light.” I hope that you will let you know if it was published or not. Thank you very much.

  22. @telcan09 – I checked your account (username: telcan09) and found only an empty draft titled ‘Petite Flying Light.’

You may find your draft here: https://www.triond.com/content/drafts
and update it accordingly. Please remember to fill in all the required fields and click on the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the page when you are done.

You will receive a notification email once your poem has been published.

  23. Spot on with this write-up, I actually think this web site wants much more consideration. I抣l most likely be again to read much more, thanks for that info.
